This policy explains how foodcaloriecalculator.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “the Site”) collects, uses and protects information about you. We are committed to handling your data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), managed through Google Tag Manager (GTM): pages visited, time on site, approximate location (country/region), device/browser, and referral source, collected pseudonymously and used in aggregate.

Calculator inputs
- Figures you enter into our calculators (foods, portions, and for body-metric tools details like age, height, and weight) are processed in your browser to produce your result. - Hostinger: hosting; processes server logs needed to deliver the Site.

6. Cookies
- Essential cookies: required for the Site to work (including remembering your cookie choice); no consent needed.
- Analytics cookies: set by GA4 only with your consent.
On your first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, with Google Consent Mode v2 configured so analytics tags respect your choice. Change your preferences any time via the cookie settings link, or through your browser.
7. International data transfers
Some providers (including Google) process data on servers outside the UK, including in the US. Such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g. the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses / the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) as required by UK law. Note that the Site is itself operated from Bangladesh; data you submit is handled as described in this policy regardless of location.
8. Data retention

9. Your rights

10. Children’s privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us, and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS across the Site. No internet transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
